Victoria Thomas is a 10-year volleyball coach and athletic sports and conditioning trainer. Victoria's client list includes some of the world's top high school athletes, NFL -, WNBA -, and professional volleyball players, including phenom Khat Bell. Thomas, is an explosive outside hitter, who lettered three years at Richardson High School (RHS) in Richardson, TX. Victoria led RHS varsity volleyball in blocks per game, and she was named 1st team all district 3 years in a row. Victoria went on to play volleyball at Rutgers University, where most impressive performance was against St Johns University. Thomas hit an impressive .625, blistered 19 kills and posted four solo blocks.
It is of no surprise that Coach Thomas is a phenomenal athlete. She comes from a family, whose identity is embedded in athleticism. Her sister, Regina Thomas -- Ole Miss- and Dallas Premier Volleyball Club Alum -- is the first volleyball All-American of the state of Mississippi. Thomas's other sister, Esther Thomas, is a TCU track and field record-holding hurdler, who is currently at four top “T&F Invitationals,” including Texas Relays.
Victoria found her passion for coaching, while still in college at Rutgers University. She spent half of her college summer in Dallas coaching at the All-Star coaches camps, with coaches from UT, Baylor and New Mexico. She spent the other half in New Jersey coaching the Rutgers skills clinics at 7 different high schools and the Rutgers Nike Volleyball camp for two years in a row.
In 2010 Coach Thomas coached at Dallas Premier Volleyball club for two years, coaching two teams each season. Victoria then attended law school, feeding her passion for volleyball training/coaching during summer breaks by continuing to run volleyball camps and clinics. Thomas returned to Dallas and is now a full time trainer and the sole owner of JOURNEYFIT LLC.
Victoria’s philosophy -- “Train Hard. Win.” (#THW) --- embodies the notion that “if you prepare at an elevated level, you will perform at an elevated level, which will always give you the victory.”
Victoria plans to train her players with effective, valuable coaching, and bring a positive, competitive atmosphere to the court.
